On 14 August 2025, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups made the third visit of its SME policy field tour, to ID Mode, a knitwear processing company in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.
The company was presented as a case in which IoT-based equipment monitoring, process analysis and production history management raised equipment utilisation and cut the defect rate by more than half.
At the visit, the Ministry heard views from experts, adopting companies and supplier companies on a planned designation scheme for smart manufacturing specialist firms — a scheme that bears directly on the work of smart manufacturing suppliers such as IMPIX.
